Virgin, unwashed gravel from the Rock Creek sapphire deposit. This material is not from the Gem Mountain commercial mine but from the Potentate Mining Company. This sapphire gravel comes packaged in a 2 gallon sack. The material will contain a lot of clay as well as sticks, pinecones and debris making it very difficult to wash clean. Hopefully your added time and effort will be worth it. Fortunately, when you do get it clean, the Rock Creek sapphires are usually quite gemmy, making them easier to distinguish among the base material. A difficult material to work but tends to produce sapphires that respond well to heat-treating. Complete washing instructions with photo are included to assist you through the process.

Natural El Dorado sapphire paydirt from Helena, Montana. This gravel is not mine-run, nothing has been washed out of the material, only the large rocks screened out. Pulled from the pay-layer, this paydirt runs rich in Montana sapphire with a chance at a gold flake or two! This "lottery ticket" packaged in a rustic wood box should put a smile on the face of the treasure-hunter in your life. Keep the sturdy wooden box to house your mining tools or other treasures afterwards.
The box is made of natural wood with metal hinges. The sapphire gravel comes in a burlap sack that is also reusable. Mining instructions and photo are included to help walk you through the mining process.
