Rock Creek Sapphire Gravel 5 pack. Get 5 bags of the Rock Creek sapphire gravel from the Sapphire Mountains near Philipsburg, Montana. Each bag contains about 2 gallons of natural, unwashed, sapphire concentrate. This Montana sapphire gravel comes from the Potentate Mining Company.
This mountain material will contain a lot of clay. You'll also find small sticks, pine cones and debris making it very difficult to wash clean. Hopefully your added time and effort will be worth it. Fortunately, when you do get it clean, the Rock Creek sapphires are usually quite gemmy. This clarity helps make them easier to distinguish among the base material. A difficult material to work but tends to produce sapphires that respond well to heat-treating.
