Tunduru River Rainbow Gems is a super cool mix of multiple gemstones that come from Africa.
This 1 gallon bag of gem gravel will have you searching for garnets, sapphires, rubies, spinels, chrysoberyl and zircon. These are not huge gems but some will be big enough to cut a small finished gemstone. They can also be kept as a collection where you can admire the fantastic colors. We had purchased this gem mix about 10 years ago and have searched for it ever since. Thankfully, we were finally able to get more of this colorful, gemmy material to share with you.

Search for tourmaline in our California tourmaline ore. This tourmaline gravel paydirt comes from the mine in Pala, CA. Each bag contains a random scoop of paydirt that may contain lots of fine dirt, mica, ore chunks(rock) and hopefully gemstones. Tourmaline from this area may be pink, green, blue, black or bi-color in needle or pencil shapes as well as bits and pieces. You'll want to look over every piece of quartz for embedded tourmaline pieces. Keep a close eye for pinks and purples. The purples are usually a type of mica called lepidolite - nice for collecting but not worth much. Also be on the look out for quartz, apatite, morganite, clevelandite, calcite, feldspar, topaz, spessartine garnet, aquamarine, and kunzite. This is a rich area and produces many different gemstones.
Keep in mind, it's mining and always a gamble.
